Sister Tarcisia Marini
PAX!
Renewing our faith in the Risen Christ, in whom we place our certainty and hope, we announce with pain, but with gratitude, that on the night of August 26, 2022, at 11 pm, at house of San Joseph, in Nova Veneza (Santa Catarina – Brazil), the Celestial Spouse received in His arms,
SISTER TARCISIA MARINI
Province “Mother of the Divina Providence”
with 93 years of age and 75 years of Religious Profession.
Sr. Tarcisia (Luiza) was born in Nova Veneza – Brazil, at June 06, 1929. Luiza was the tenth child of 14 siblings. Her family lived in Rio Cedro, in Nova Veneza / Brazil; she was very religious and participated in the Sunday celebrations at the Saint Mark Church’s. Luiza, since she was little, did not miss the opportunity to go with her father to Nova Veneza, because her godmother who worked in the parish house lived there. Four of her sisters followed the Benedictine religious life in our Congregation, one brother the priestly life, Fr. Francisco Marini.
On February 1, 1943, she entered the Congregation in Nova Veneza / Brazil, being received by the local Superior, Sr. Faustina Oldani. She entered the Novitiate in 1945 and was given the name Sr. Tarcisia, a name she always sought to live with gratitude and honor to her protector: Saint Tarcisio, the lover of the Eucharist. Her master was Sr. Faustina Oldani. At the time she was Superior General Mother Giovanna Zonca. She made his Religious Profession on December 23, 1946, in the Chapel of the Sagrada Familia Institute in Nova Veneza / BRAZIL.
Sr. Tarcisia, from an early age, devoted herself with enthusiasm to childhood and youth, both in schools and in parish pastoral care. She loved and gave himself in the pastoral care of the child. Who doesn’t remember Sr. Tarcisia with the leaders of the communities weighing the children and guiding the mothers to take care and educate their children well! She had a great love for the Eucharist and with affection she took the sick, always motivated by her Saint Tarcisio.
From 1947 to 2008 he developed his activities in several communities such as: Pio XI, Santa Cruz and Itaipava (Rio de Janeiro); Nova Veneza, Urussanga, Criciúma, Balneário Gaivota (Santa Catarina); Ampere and Curitiba (Paraná). She also held the position of local Superior.
Sister Tarcisia, still very young, was part of the missionaries in evangelization in São Joaquim – Santa Catarina. Here, below, is the historical photo that portrays the enthusiasm of the young Benedictine force.
Sr. Tarcisia was kind. She liked things well done and beautiful. She easily captivated hearts as she was very welcoming and cheerful. These virtues were very visible and not even the disease and the years managed to erase.
In 2009 his health began to wither. She was transferred to house San Joseph in Nova Veneza / Brazil for proper care and in 2010 she started treatment for Alzheimer’s.
On the night of August 26, in silence and in a deep abandonment in the arms of the Father, he surrendered his spirit, passing from the precariousness of this world to the eternity of God. Let us praise the Lord for his faithfulness and his witness.
“Dear Sr. Tarcisia, we already miss your presence and your laugh… Pray for us who stay here in the day-to-day struggles. Ask Jesus for new vigor and enthusiasm for our young women. Go happily to God to sing eternal melodies eternally.”
The Holy Mass of the present body will be tomorrow, August 28, 2022, at 07 pm in the Chapel of the Sagrada Familia Institute in Nova Veneza / Brazil and then the burial in the Municipal Cemetery.
In fraternal communion of prayer, united to all the Sisters of the Province “Mother of Divine Providence”, to the family members, especially to the nieces Sr. Naomi and Sr. Cassiana, and to our friends, let us entrust this Sister of ours to Jesus, her beloved Spouse.
“MY GOD AND MU EVERYTHING”
